EXPLORING THE EVOLVING DIGITAL FUTURE

The digital revolution is reshaping human society.

From a technology perspective, the pace of technological progress and application is accelerating. Large-scale AI models, Web3, metaverse, blockchain, and AIoT are all playing a major role in this transformation. When we look at the business value chain, various links such as design, manufacturing, work collaboration, retail, and consumer decision-making are becoming more digitalized. With improved privacy protection regulations, data is increasingly becoming a new factor for development. From the perspective of production, social collaboration is becoming increasingly ecological and platform-based, and participatory economics is replacing shareholder economics. From the perspective of social value creation, while the digital revolution brings enormous opportunities to a society, it also brings new challenges and issues -- How can technology benefit more people? What ethics should technology adopt? How to better leverage digital technology to solve major environmental and sustainable development challenges?

Luohan Academy is committed to helping human society better embrace digital technology and improve social welfare. To this end, we held our 2023 Annual Digital Economy Conference at the West Lake State Guesthouse in Hangzhou, China from June 20 to 21, 2023. We invited the world's leading social scientists, digital economy practitioners, and policy makers to gather and allow for the interdisciplinary collision of theory and practice, to generate new consensus and insights on the world's most pressing issues.
